Israel is a special country. The only democracy in the Near East. A corner stone and pillar of Western civilization in an area of unrest, religious fanatism and hatred.
Israel is also the result of everlasting anti-Semitism, especially the Nazi attempt to extinguish them. The holocaust is the core remembrance and memory for Israel.
