The Image of the Gypsy: Patterns in Interpretations of the Persecution of the Roma during the Third Reich

This article has been a contribution for the International Conference "The Roma – A Minority in Europe. Historical, Social and Cultural Perspectives" at Tel Aviv University, December 1-3, 2002. However, it was not included in the conference reader : Stauber, Roni & Vago, Raphael (Ed.). The Roma, : A Minority in Europe. Central European University Press. 2007. No reasons concerning the contents were given, except the intervention of two participants, whose positions I slightly criticized.
